"Important Japanese Satsuma Vase. Meiji Period"
Hexagonal in shape, the floral decoration depicts plum branches and peony blossoms. On the high shoulder, beneath the circular collar with gold enamel, intertwined flowers are displayed against a navy blue enamel background.
Beneath the circular base, a very fine crackle quality of the ceramic can be seen.
Provenance: Collection of HRH Prince Osman Ibrahim of Egypt (1951-2025).
Height: 39 cm. Pierced with a small hole under the base.
Signed: Chikusaï.
