Set Of Three Renaissance Style Armchairs, 19th Century

Set of Three Renaissance Style Armchairs – 19th Century

Elegant set of three curule armchairs in carved wood in the Renaissance style, dating from the 19th century. Each armchair features a richly decorated back with foliate motifs, as well as finely carved armrests resting on X-shaped uprights typical of the curule form, popularized during the Renaissance. The decoration includes finely worked lions' heads on the crosspieces, emphasizing the solemn and architectural character of the ensemble. The woodwork, both refined and balanced, demonstrates great craftsmanship.
