Pair Of Chinese Wooden Armchairs – Qing Dynasty, 1797–1820
An elegant pair of Chinese wooden armchairs from the Qing dynasty, dating from 1797–1820, characterized by a refined structure and rich decoration in the Oriental style.
The backrest is embellished with carved decorative panels featuring figurative and floral motifs set against a dark background. The frame features contoured, flowing armrests, straight legs connected by crossbars, and a front panel finely decorated with ornamental motifs in the Chinese style.
The seats are made of original woven straw, with the frame and fastening system visible on the underside.
The armchairs have been restored and are solid and in excellent condition. The lower part of the frame retains the original wood patina, as shown in the photographs.
The pair also comes with a certificate/documentation dating from 1995, relating to the Qing Dynasty and the period 1797–1820.
