"Oil Painting On Cardboard, Early 20th Century, Landscape: "the Alley""
This painting is an oil painting on cardboard. It depicts a country lane lined with tall trees. The style is impressionist, with visible brushstrokes. The central path, bathed in soft light, guides the eye towards the background, where we can make out a walker, then a more distant landscape. There is a lovely perspective and a gentle atmosphere that emerges from the whole. Late 19th, early 20th century. 36 × 26 cm. The painting is a little marked by time, especially at the corners, and there is a small stain of paint dripping in the middle at the bottom (visible in photos).
