Large Venetian mirror with parecloses, decorated with ducal coats of arms and richly carved and gilded.

The first carved wooden frame presents an alternation of foliage and rounded motifs surmounted by mirror with a hollowed area.

The pareclose is patterned with openwork mirrors glued on midnight blue enamel backgrounds, typical of luxury Venetian productions.

To perfect the play of color, between blue, gold and white of the mirror, some of the latter are painted in their center with arabesque motifs in polychrome painting.
On either side of the mirror, falls, with a motif of falling foliage, are decorated with three small mirrors.

The spectacular pediment is distinguished by the presence of a coat of arms with an eagle with outstretched wings, a recurring imperial symbol in Venetian iconography, here surmounted by the ducal headdress – the corno dogale – distinctive attribute of the Doges of Venice.
This heraldic detail suggests a prestigious provenance.Below this eagle is a tower and star.

It is framed on both sides by large acanthus leaves in gilded wood decorated in their center with mirror segments and surmounted by a very large stylized and symmetrical fleur-de-lis.

This superb example of Venetian decorative art is distinguished by its ornamental richness and its exceptional quality of execution.
