"Portrait By Jean-claude Bedard 1928/1982"
Figurative work by Jean-Claude Bedard, an artist born in 1928 in Pau and deceased in Paris in 1982. This talented painter, brother of the painter Georges Noël, initially figurative, then abstract, had all the talents. A great colorist, capable of highly structured compositions, after his figurative period, he evolved towards an abstract, very personal, telluric work, inspired by the monoids of which he was a great specialist. The painting presented is an imaginary portrait painted in 1953 for an exhibition at the Camille Renault gallery, prefaced by Jacques Villon. This work was then represented during a retrospective dedicated to the artist "Galerie Boursault" in 1992.
