Small Louis XVI Style Chest Of Drawers With Rounded Sides, Faubourg Work, Circa 1930

Charming little Louis XVI style chest of drawers in mahogany veneer, quality work from the Faubourg Saint Antoine around 1930.
Ideal proportions, this chest of drawers rests on 4 beautifully turned barrel legs decorated with bronze sabots at their ends.
The body has a slight central projection and opens with three drawers on the front with a geometric veneer decoration decorated with Louis XVI lock entries and bronze pull knobs.
The sides are rounded and have a nice geometric veneer work in squares, more precisely in quatrefoils.
A pretty protruding belt underlines the movement above the feet and we find this movement on the very purple brocatelle which tops the whole.
The brocatelle is original.
The drawers are mounted with dovetails and work perfectly.
No major restoration to report, this chest of drawers is in excellent condition and has received a satin varnish that is not flashy, sober and light.

A small practical chest of drawers, ideal in proportions, decorative and very easy to place.
