Born in Saint-Sauveur in the Yonne, André Morisset exhibited landscapes at the Salon d'Automne, of which he was a member between 1911 and 1923 and again in 1934. He exhibited in 1934 at the Nationale and at the Indépendants in 1930, 1935 and 1937. He also worked on frescoes. In a symbolist style, he treated subjects such as moonlight, sun effects, studies of trees or pine trees where he also painted the Breton coast.
