Female Nude Oil On Panel Attributed To Jacques Weissmann
Oil on cardboard representing a languid redheaded woman on a crimson red drape, attributed to Jacques Weissmann (1878-1963) French artist several times medalist at the Salon des Artistes Français between 1905 and 1940 as well as at the Salon des Indépendants, Salon d'Automne, Salon d'Hiver... This nude is very characteristic of his work, it is made on a reused cardboard, probably a larger format work as one can notice on the back with the inscription and the exhibition label titled "torso de brune". This painting is kept in a spectacular wooden and gilded stucco frame.
