Lovely little alcove clock in white Carrara marble and fine mercury-gilt bronzes, called a terminal. Adorned with a charming Young Man in a Hat who hands you a bouquet of flowers in front of a flower pot with a generous daisy, to count the petals and make vows of love. The terminal is richly and finely dressed in fine bronzes with frank gilding like the whole piece, notably the feet supporting the puddle chiseled like the pretty openwork frieze which runs on the base. The enamelled dial is very finely decorated between the Roman numerals with fine delicately flowered garlands in beautiful colors of fine bronze hands indicate the time; a domed glass protects it, at the back a door with domed glass opens revealing the cylinder movement, signed Planchon like the dial ... An integral and very pretty piece in good condition, for demanding Amateur and Collector ...
