"émile Gallé – Art Nouveau Pedestal Table “the Happy Times” – Circa 1902"
Rare pedestal table by the famous Art Nouveau master Émile Gallé, made around 1902. Characteristics: Top in the shape of a shield, with marquetry decoration depicting a poetic scene of people spinning wool, accompanied by floral motifs and the inscription "L'Heureux Temps". Three turned legs, partly twisted, providing a harmonious balance between elegance and movement. Dimensions: H. 73 cm x W. 57 cm x D. 61 cm. Condition: Two unscrewable legs. The third is glued and requires restoration. Top in very good condition, with rich and precise marquetry. Remarks: Emblematic model of the Art Nouveau style, combining poetry, craftsmanship and naturalistic finesse. Collector's work, ideal for lovers of exceptional furniture or museum institutions.
