The flatware is in the Feuillage or Moderne model from the famous Puiforcat house. The spatulas are decorated with wide floral stems within an architectural cartouche. Bouquets of flowers join the stems at the ends.
The underside of the salad server's ends is engraved with olive branches, evoking the seasoning of the dishes served.
The forks and spoons are in silver gilt.
The flatware is hallmarked:
. Minerva, 1st grade, before 1973 for the 950/°° solid silver.
. Goldsmith's mark: P Reczka for the goldsmith Paul Reczka, active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
It is surprising to find this goldsmith's mark on flatware based on the model of the goldsmith Puiforcat. Since the ladle was not hallmarked by a goldsmith, one can imagine that Puiforcat subcontracted part of its production to this goldsmith, who hallmarked some pieces with his own hallmark.
The cutlery is very elegant, with the rich and magnificent floral decoration in high relief, well-known to Puiforcat.
Approximately 26 cm long
325.4 grams for the three pieces.
Very good condition. Minor scratches from use. Silver gilt missing from the salad fork, light on the other two pieces.
