Marble bas-relief in the form of a medallion, representing Thérèse Genty De Bussy, daughter of Pierre Genty De Bussy (1793-1867), in three-quarter view. The medallion is surrounded by a copper border that was to include it in a wooden frame. Ambroise Pascal Liotard, also called Pascal Liotard de Lambesc, was a student of the sculptor David d'Angers (1788-1856). He exhibited at the Paris Salon from 1835 to 1837. Under the Second Empire, he participated in the Marseille exhibitions of 1859 and 1860. In 1867, the city of Marseille commissioned him to create a marble bust representing Napoleon I for the School of Fine Arts and a plaster medallion representing Honoré Bouche. Good condition, signed under the shoulder of the bust.
