Exceptional pincushion of a lady of the upper middle class, oval shaped, padded and double-sided, with its original fabric (old purple velvet), decorated with a silver mounting. Central band in silver, decorated in the middle with a repoussé cord running all around, as well as chiseled motifs with acanthus leaves and fleur-de-lis decoration. Hallmarked with the Augsburg pine nut and the master's mark: EW = Erhard Warnberger, goldsmith active between 1670 and 1680. The later pin (19th century). Good condition.
