Stipo Sicilian Monetary 17th Century Ebony Wood Golden Bronzes Palermo.

Important stipo a portelle (collectible coin), Sicily, first half of the seventeenth century (1630–1660). Rare and highly representative furniture, made of ebonised wood with authentic red turtle slabs (Caretta caretta) and rich decoration in finely chiseled golden bronzes.

The structure has:

• Architectural facade with a staggering central body, broken tympanum and twin columns.

• In front of multiple drawers, adorned with vents, cantonals and bronze plates.

• Moulded base and carved "leon paw" feet.

It preserves an antique patina and the hardware coeva, with normal signs of use compatible with age. The turtle, with the typical bright red chromaticism, is in excellent condition.
