"Pair Of Walnut Bergere Chairs, Louis XV Period"
Pair of Louis XV period cabriolet bergères in deeply molded and carved walnut, attributable to Pierre Nogaret (1718-1771). The basket handle backs are decorated with acanthus leaves and a bouquet of roses and ribboned foliage; the two roses overhang the crosspiece. The armrest consoles are whip-shaped. The arched legs, decorated with flowers and acanthus leaves, are connected by scalloped crosspieces, the crosspiece on the front being carved with foliage and flowers. Lyon work in very good condition attributable to Pierre Nogaret who became a Master in 1745.
