Painting Crucifixion with mourners, size 161x45.5 oil on poplar board (probably chest front) single panel with original frame inserted in the panel, part of the corners with depictions of angels restored in gold in the early 1900s,Painting in excellent condition.This painting in question was viewed and then attributed after careful study to the painter Liberale da Verona 1441-1526 - by Professor Alessandro del Priori of the University of Florence. The painter had his first training in the workshop of Domenico Morone and also presents Ferrarese influences, he was present between 1466 and 1467 in Tuscany where he worked for Montefeltro and for the Cathedral of Siena as a miniaturist, in the 1670s he returned to Verona and opened a valuable workshop.
