"Mazarine" chest of drawers, Louis XIV period, early 18th century, Dauphiné region. Crossbow model opening with three drawers, richly decorated with chiseled and gilded bronzes. Geometric frieze veneer of olive and end grain olive wood, framed with ebony and lemonwood fillets on the top and drawers. The sides are veneered with ash, decorated with rectangles with centered diamonds, highlighted with ebony fillets. Original bronzes, locks and key. Usual restoration, finished with French polish. Very good general condition.
