Portrait of Jean Christophe Michel Bonnevielle, born in Paimboeuf (Loire-Atlantique) on August 12, 1782. This portrait was painted in Pézenas on November 1, 1802. (period inscription on the back). JCM Bonnevielle was in his active life, naval officer. He married in first marriage Roselyne de Payrolles de Lunès in Caux (Hérault) from where a daughter, Louise; and in second marriage in 1814 Thérèse Françoise Jougla in Sth Thibéry (Hérault). Charming and large portrait of a young man of twenty years, in a buttoned jacket, white tie, tie pin and chatelaine. Original frame in Louis XVI style with pearls.
