"The White Roses, Attributed To Henry Lerolle"
Oil on canvas, late 19th, early 20th century, depicting a still life with white roses. Painting in the impressionist style signed lower right "Lerolle". The signature is slightly erased, but this seems to correspond to the painter Henry Lerolle (1848-1929). Henry Lerolle is a French painter and patron, born and died in Paris. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts, he is known for his intimate scenes. He is also an influential patron, supporting Debussy and Cézanne in particular, and holding an important artistic salon in Paris. Although today discreet in the history of art, he was recognized and respected during his lifetime. Traces of restorations and small snags. Dimensions: 55 / 38 cm
