Oil on canvas, early 20th century, depicting a view of Menton with boats moored on the beach. Painting in an almost Fauvist spirit, signed lower left André Vautier André Vautier, born in 1861 and died in 1941, was a French landscape painter active in Paris. He studied with Henry-Joseph Harpignies, one of the founders of the pleinairism movement. From 1885, he exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris. Bears on the back the tampo of a Salon in 1914. Good general condition, a slight lifting of the canvas to be noted. Dimensions: 60.5 / 38 cm
