He began his career as a decorative painter, a path through which he discovered techniques and materials as well as composition. In the wake of Louis Auguste Auguin, Marius Gueit soon became a recognized landscape painter. It crisscrosses the Arcachon Basin, the Landes de Gascony, the Basque Country. Endowed with a real eye, Marius Gueit knows how to restore his feeling about nature in his compositions, he skillfully handles impasto, lights and shadows. Marius Gueit regularly exhibits at the Society of Friends of the Arts in Bordeaux, at the Salon des artistes français, at exhibitions
