"Louis XV Style Wall Console, 19th Century French Work."
Elegant wall console table in finely carved wood, made in the 19th century in the pure spirit of the Louis XV style. It rests on two curved legs joined by a scalloped spacer with openwork decoration, in a balanced and dynamic composition typical of the symmetrical Rocaille taste. The very neat openwork relief decoration presents an abundance of motifs: radiating shells, falling flowers, stylized foliage and volutes, blossoming with lightness in a beautiful freedom of movement. The frame is covered with a paint in a deep yellow ochre shade, enhanced by a particularly warm and authentic patina. This subtle tone resonates with the superb 18th century brecciated marble top, chosen for its quality and its harmonious shades with golden brown and beige highlights reminiscent of the frame. Although executed in the 19th century, this console table is perfectly in keeping with the tradition of 18th century Rocaille productions, both in terms of the quality of its execution and its stylistic fidelity. Dimensions: Height: 92.5 cm Width: 85.5 cm Depth: 41 cm Condition: Very good overall condition. Original paintwork well preserved, patina intact. 18th century marble in excellent condition.
