Charming Louis XVI period cabaret pedestal table, in solid mahogany, with a circular bowl top mounted on a hinged tilting system and original brass locking hook. The top rests on a turned and fluted shaft, ending in a tripod base with curved legs, fitted with brass and blackened wood casters. The mahogany used is of good quality, with a regular grain, a warm patina and a slightly moiré surface typical of exotic woods popular in the 18th century. This type of light, elegant and functional table was intended for serving tea or coffee, or even for writing.
