A striking pair of early 20th-century Japanese Satsuma vases, each with elaborate dragon handles and bold Shimazu crests. The vases feature richly hand-painted scenes of Buddhist arhats in raised moriage gilt, highlighting the exceptional artistry of Kyoto studio Satsuma, c.1910–1920. Both vases are signed by different but related studios. In superb original condition, with minimal wear and natural fine craquelure; no damage or restoration.
