Louis XV Corner Shelf Co-stamped By Pierre Hache And Jean-françois Hache Circa 1760-1765

Artist: Pierre Et Jean-françois Hache.
Important corner piece of furniture to hang called corner shelf, polylobed shape in cherry wood inlaid with stylized foliage in olive veneer, maple burl and natural and stained elm. This one is presented in three distinct parts; composed of two curved shelves, upper and lower with curved sides and openwork of voluble cartouches, centered on a closed quarter-circle locker opening with a leaf, condemned by its original lock. This piece of furniture bears the joint stamps of Pierre and Jean-François Hache which allows to date it from the years 1760-1765. Period when Pierre Hache acquired new buildings place Claveyson in order to install his son Jean-François there very close to his own workshop. This proximity of two independent workshops responded to more convenience for their collaboration. Indeed, several Louis XV marquetry furniture pieces co-stamped by the father and son have been found, made between 1760 and 1765; our shelf is the perfect example. Dimensions: Height 108cm - Depth 32cm. This piece of furniture has undergone restoration and maintenance, cleaning and French polishing. This piece of furniture is similar to the Louis XV corner shelf shown on page 463, under number 266 of the genius of Axes by Pierre and Françoise Rouge published by Faton.
