Description:
Exceptional solid silver soup tureen by the renowned Parisian silversmith Émile Puiforcat.
Raised on a sumptuous pedestal base adorned with a row of large beading, the rounded body is flanked by two finely chiseled lion-head handles, each holding a suspension ring in its mouth.
The domed lid, richly decorated with motifs echoing those on the base and enhanced with rosettes, is topped with an impressive finial in the shape of a split pomegranate resting on a leafy terrace.
A superb piece, notable for both its elegant proportions and its refined ornamentation.
