Beautiful Soft Wood Mannequin, Primitive, 19th Century, 42 Cm, Good Condition

Nice Beaux Arts mannequin, for painter or sculptor, or perhaps simply for pleasure, made by a craftsman, quite primitive, it is made from softwood, resinous, carved individually, articulated by hardwood ball joints pegged, neck, bust, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, ankles, with this superb face, serious, concentrated, like an actor preparing his requested posture.
Dimensions = 42cm x 14cm,
Fairly satisfactory condition, pleasant patina, fairly correct working condition, nothing tight, blocked; ball joints work quite well, there are some differences in wood, but it is an old object from the French Restoration period, it cannot do all the gestures of mannequins of following centuries, its joints are rustic and their angles limited.
It compensates for this handicap by its beauty ....
