"Art Nouveau/art Deco Five-leaf Screen, Belgium Circa 1915"
Here is a spectacular five-leaf screen in the Art Nouveau Art Deco transition style. This is a Belgian work circa 1915. From Art Nouveau we will remember the magnificent plant decoration of Japanese graphic inspiration. Art Deco offers a refined and geometric form. The five leaves are made of solid wood. This has been engraved to create a floral decoration that forms a complete work crossing the five panels and not five individual designs. This screen is double-sided. Indeed, the back is decorated with a plant garland motif made of very elegantly embossed metal. This screen is in very good condition both structurally and cosmetically. The hinges are in perfect condition. The piece of furniture has been completely cleaned and waxed. The dyes of the plant decoration have retained all their original freshness. Here is a very beautiful object, very decorative, representative of its era and very well preserved for its age, more than a century all the same! A purchase of the heart...
