Serge Belloni, nicknamed "The Painter of Paris," dedicated his artistic life to capturing the timeless essence of Paris and Venice. Every day, in all weather, he immortalized the changing faces of the City of Light and the City of Doges.


This beautiful painting transports us to Paris, with this emblematic view of the Quais de Seine, the Palais de Justice and its unmissable booksellers. Belloni loved spending autumn and early winter in Paris, where the bare trees revealed the architecture and authentic soul of the city. And the rest of the year in Venice to capture its unique light.

Biography:


Born in Italy in 1925, Serge Belloni settled in Paris in 1933. He studied at the École supérieure des Beaux-Arts and held his first exhibition at the age of 21. Throughout his life, he devoted himself to painting, working every day, in all weather, to capture the essence of Paris.


His travels to Holland allowed him to master the techniques of the Flemish masters, which he perfected throughout his career. His works are present in prestigious collections around the world, from Paris to New York, via Milan and Moscow.

Marie Bashkirtseff Prize (1952)

Silver Medal and Vermilion Medal of the City of Paris (1980)
