Elegant Kashan (or Kachan) with a traditional and timeless pattern reminiscent of the academic achievements of the Safavid dynasty (1501-1732). On an ivory field stand out a rosette-shaped medallion, spandrels and gray borders, enhanced by a multitude of floral motifs in shades of mauve, red, beige, ... Borders with a motif (herati' or 'samovari' (flowers) frame the field of the carpet.

Under the reign of Shah Abbas (1588-1629), schools were created to train Ustads (Master weavers) who made carpet 'cartons'. The designs were inspired by Persian tradition by reproducing hunting scenes, gardens, roses, trees, mosaic motifs or bas-reliefs (Persepolis) ... These creations were found in the cities of Kashan, Tabriz, Isfahan, Meshed, Kerman.
