Anonymous. Still life. 19th century school. A blue earthenware pitcher decorated with white floral motifs sits in the center of a table. It immediately catches the eye with its intense color and central position. Right next to it, a white pottery with a metal spoon planted inside, colorful apples, and on the left, a plate with grapes. The contrast with the background of the painting, a patinated olive green, and the realistic rendering of the objects is superb. An elegant simplicity emanates from the painting. The painting shows some signs of wear, with visible paint chips and traces of drips. 55 x 37.5 cm
