"Copper Pie Dish, Late 18th - Early 19th Century"
Copper pie dish Late 18th - Early 19th century. Pie dish intended for use in the hearth directly in contact with the embers because it is mounted on feet. Made of copper and wrought iron (handles, feet and stiffeners). The copper of the lid and the tray are rolled on wrought iron. The handles are assembled with rivets. The tray is mounted in a dovetail. Good general condition considering its age. Note significant corrosion of the handle fixings.
