Biography :
Serge Detriaux (1919–1996) is a Belgian painter known for his abstract works made mainly in oil on panel. Active from the 1950s, he developed a refined style, playing on colors, textures, and simple forms.
Little publicized, he nevertheless remains appreciated by collectors for the coherence of his work and the poetic atmosphere of his compositions. His paintings often bear evocative titles like here, Hope of a Dream or Veil of Flames.
