Object description :

"Michel Clos (1934-2015) Large Hst "the Nymphs""
Important oil painting on canvas signed lower right M. CLOS (Norman painter Michel Clos 1934-2015) depicting a group of nymphs such as Calypso, Amphitrite, Thetis or Galatea. These seductive female figures from mythology bathe with voluptuousness in front of a feast of fruits associated with nature and by extension with fertility, while the oceanids only live in the sea, the nereids also appreciate freshwater sources, a taste they share with the naiads, populating rivers and lakes. They offer artists inspiration for their allegories of the seasons. Very good condition, dimensions: 97 cm X 77 cm
