Art Nouveau period sculpture, late 19th century, signed Henri PLÉ (Henri Honoré PLÉ 1853-1922), model listed on page 343 of the book with a preface by Félix Marcilhac "Etains 1900" - Two hundred sculptors of the Belle Epoque by Philippe Dahhan - Elegant Symbolist subject entitled "Poppy Hat" featuring a silver-plated pewter nymph resting on a marble base. Good condition, dimensions: 54 cm high X 19 cm wide.
Henri Honoré Plé (1853/1922) French painter and sculptor active in Paris, student of Mathurin Moreau, he excelled in historical, biblical or mythological figures, his works were exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1877 where he won an honorable mention in 1879 Member of the Society of French Artists, he was part of the Art Nouveau movement and received a bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition in Paris in 1900
