Imposing Articulated Wooden Scorpion, 1970
Very imposing articulated wooden scorpion with brown patina. Unsigned, dated November 78 below. Unique piece.
In two parts, assembled by wood assembly (no screws or nuts, etc.). The two-part pincers reach a wingspan of 155cm. Each of these legs consists of four keels. The tail is monoxyl and composed of 8 rings of regular sizes but all different. The sting at its end is fixed using two pegs. The tail is inserted at the back of the scorpion, and can be held in place using a peg.
In very good general condition. Traces of wear on the top, probably linked to a pot placed on it for many years. The blue arrow indicates a "missing", the piece being in my possession. I leave it to the future buyer to glue it back together.
Dimensions:
Body length 49cm width 30cm
Leg height 30cm
Height with tail 95cm (!)
Shipping costs extra. Contact by email preferred. I remain at your disposal for further information or additional photos.
