Gilt bronze desk with a metal plate in the lower part and a decoration based on plant and architectural elements in the upper part, with a certain classical influence, but whose composition and combination of movements are somewhat reminiscent of the Rococo. Resting on scroll-shaped legs, it has two inkwells with hinged lids and a central area revealing a heart-shaped veined stone plate (possibly marble), surrounded by plant and architectural elements. The existence of another very similar example is attested in a French private collection, which is common in this type of work due to the high specialization of bronze workshops in France, which created a series of identical or very similar works that they in turn sold to dealers or other workshops for use in clocks, fittings, etc. by adding elements of porcelain, marble, wood...
