Rare early bronze vase decorated with bone or ivory inlays, typical of productions from the Late Bronze Age to the Iron Age, attributable to the Urnfield culture or the Hallstatt period (Central Europe, 9th – 7th century BC).
Description
This archaeological piece has a globular profile on a pedestal, with a flared neck, decorated with engraved cross-pattern motifs and studded with white circular cabochons inserted into the bronze, characteristic of certain Celto-Italic or early Danubian productions.Green and brown archaeological patina, with remains of concretions attesting to its ancient burial.
Good general condition despite some losses and traces of natural oxidation.
The base is eroded but retains its original shape. The cabochons show a beautiful bone patina.
