Portable wrought iron altar for private devotion, opening with a door operated by a spring-loaded button and revealing a painted scene, probably Saint Francis of Assisi receiving the stigmata. Period: late 17th - early 18th century. Height 22 cm - width 18 cm - depth 2.3 cm. Good overall condition for this object, both naive and austere. Beautiful ironwork, two wall-mounting holes on the back.
