Glass or chalice from the Louis XVI period in lightly tinted blown glass, with multiple small air bubbles, resting on a thick pedestal, the frustoconical cup with engraved decoration of two laurel medallions, one containing a surname: "Ambroise Crepelle prior priest of Saint Savin" and the date 1787. The other medallion is enriched with an engraved chalice which recalls the functions of its owner. The Bordeaux Museum of Decorative Arts preserves another element of this "trousseau", in this case the jam pot, which has a similar decoration (see photo n°2, Jacqueline Bellanger, Verre d'usage et de prestige, page 436). Dimensions: height 12 cm, diameter at the rim 7.5 cm. Rare object in perfect state of conservation.
