"Spice Navette Carved With Figures, Corozo, 19th Century "
Charming spice box in the shape of a shuttle carved with a character, acanthus leaves and floral motifs, all in corozo nut and dating from the 19th century. The whole in good condition, a small lack of sculpture on the pedestal.
The interior of the lids is decorated with a copper leaf. The brass hinges work.
The only thing missing is the small metal ring at the top of the grip.
Beautiful old patina.
