Ink and pencil drawing, original published in the collection “La joviale comédie” (p.86) written by his brother Pierre Veber and published in 1896. Jean Veber (1864-1928) is a painter, press cartoonist, caricaturist. A student of Cabanel, he joined his brother, a journalist at the newspaper Gil blas, he also worked for l’Assiette au beurre and Le rire.
