Venice, Grand Canal And Church Of La Salute – Oil On Panel – Late 19th Century – Signed

View of the Grand Canal in Venice, with the Salute Church in the background. The scene is captured on a beautiful sunny day, the blues and whites shine. A few sails and walls provide colorful complements. In the foreground, two gondolas are reflected in the water.

The work was created on panels, probably pine. At the back, we see that a reinforcement was installed to prevent the boards from curving. The joints of the boards are visible under the pictorial layer but have been filled. The work is in good condition. It is signed (signature to be deciphered) at the bottom right.

This work is offered in a modern frame in carved wood with bronze-colored stucco.
