MEIJI period (1868-1912).
Cloisonned on porcelain is called Jikki Shippo.
Pieces using this technique are quite rare because of their fragility at the time of manufacture : after shaping the porcelain vases, copper partitions are fixed with vegetable glue following a preliminary design.
Each vase weighs more than 7 kg !
