Straight, single-edged steel blade with groove.
Silver-plated steel ferrule chased with foliage.
Blackened wood spindle carved with geometric braiding.
Pommel with oval orange glass cabochon, silver-plated steel cap.
Black and green leather scabbard decorated with a thistle in an oval with the words ‘HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE’.
In Scottish Gaelic, the term ‘sgian dubh’ means ‘little knife’. It is one of the attributes of the officers of the Gordon Highlanders.
