Steel, silver, antler, leather
Total length: 18 cm; Blade length: 9 cm

Straight steel blade with one cutting edge shaped on the reverse edge, throat, marked ‘STAINLESS STEEL’.
Hallmarked silver ferrule.
Antler tang.
Silver cabochon pommel.
Wooden scabbard covered in black leather.
Hallmarked silver chape marked ‘MADE IN SCOTLAND’ and silver ferrule.

In Scottish Gaelic, the term ‘sgian dubh’ means ‘small knife’. It is one of the attributes of the officers of the Gordon Highlanders.
