Very rare, very large Pair of Louis XVI period solid silver candlesticks, complete with their original bobeches. Each rests on a circular base with a frieze of gadroons and pearls ensuring the junction with the fluted bell, the latter having an applied medallion with Coat of Arms under Crown (see photos). Fluted shafts with suspended laurel garlands, knots with fleurons and sockets also fluted delimited by an amati background.
Remarkably hallmarked set (torches and bobeches) with the Charge and Discharge Hallmarks for PARIS 1782-89, the Jurande Hallmarks for PARIS 1784 and the Hallmarks of the prestigious Master Goldsmith Joseph-Théodore VANCOMBERT (Hallmark with the initials "JTV and lily) received in 1770. Vancombert's pieces are always of remarkable quality, which is why we find his pieces in the greatest collections. A Sugar Bowl was in the Puiforcat collection. Many of his pieces bear hallmarks for export, which demonstrates that he had an international clientele. Extremely rare, very large and heavy (28 cm high and weighing +1452 grams) Pair of Candlesticks by the prestigious VANCOMBERT in very good condition and remarkably hallmarked, also engraved with Coat of Arms and complete with its original bobeches, micro-scratches used. For the discerning collector....
Do not take into account reflections in the photos.

Height : 28.5 cm
