"Bust Of The Aviator Mermoz"
Bust of the aviator Jean Mermoz, executed in terracotta, presented in profile, by the sculptor Lucien Gibert. The treatment of the hair in the extension of the profile symbolizes movement and speed. Lucien Gibert (1904-1988) worked with the sculptor Charles Despiau, but his reference was Aristide Maillol.
