Bronze sculpture signed Jacquemart representing a horse watching a dog on a marble terrace. Alfred Jacquemart (1824-1896) studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and exhibited animal sculptures at the Salon from 1847 to 1879. Author of five monumental works erected in Paris. Alfred Jacquemart is represented in various provincial museums.
